2027 BMW iX4 Electric Sloped-Roof SUV Debuts with Up to 603 Horsepower

The 2027 BMW iX4 brings the sloped-roof SUV design into the electric vehicle era and serves as the electric successor to the discontinued X4. The vehicle will launch in March 2027 with a starting price of $67,695 for the base 50 xDrive variant, followed later by the high-performance M60 xDrive trim. The 50 xDrive delivers 463 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque from an electric motor at each axle, while the M60 xDrive generates 603 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque. Both models utilize an 800-volt electrical architecture paired with an 112-kWh battery that supports charging speeds up to 400 kW. BMW reports an EPA-estimated range of up to 428 miles for the base model, though official figures for the M60 variant remain pending.
