27 Students Fall Ill After Midday Meal at Kota School

At least 27 students fell ill after consuming a midday meal containing a pumpkin preparation at Poonia Deoria School in Kota’s Ranpur area on Monday. The students, ranging from Classes 1 to 8, complained of nausea, vomiting, stomach aches, and dizziness about two hours after eating. Out of 110 students present, 21 were taken to hospitals in Kota, with 17 admitted to New Medical College Hospital and four to a private facility. Officials confirmed that all affected children are currently stable and under observation. District authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of the illness, while Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar visited Kota to review the situation.
