34 Bihar Schoolchildren Hospitalised After Consuming Detergent In Midday Meal

Thirty-four students at a government school in Bihar's Nalanda district were hospitalised after accidentally consuming detergent powder during their midday meal. The incident occurred at Middle School, Parasi, when a cook mistakenly served detergent instead of salt to students who had requested extra seasoning. The meal, which consisted of rice and soybean-potato curry, was supplied by the Ekta Shakti Foundation. All 34 affected children were treated at Biharsharif Sadar Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition. The district administration confirmed that the children are out of danger following medical intervention.
