Assailants dispatched to Mumbai by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang spent nearly a month conducting recces around actor Aamir Khan's residence before abandoning the plan. Police sources revealed that Khan was frequently away on film shoots or remained inside his home for days, rendering him inaccessible. In July, the Bishnoi gang issued social media threats against Khan over his marriage to Gauri Spratt, which the group claimed violated Sanatan Dharma. The 11th accused in the shooting case is currently held in Mumbai Police custody as investigators examine call records to trace the handlers.
