The RSS-affiliated ABVP candidate Yash Dabas is leading the race for the Delhi University Students’ Union president’s post after the first round of counting. Dabas secured 1,305 votes, while NSUI candidate Vijay Shankar Meena followed with 1,191 votes and the Left alliance’s Ananya Raturi polled 288 votes. Voting for the 2026-27 academic session took place on September 18, with a 40.46% turnout recorded across various colleges. Counting is underway at the university’s North Campus, with results expected to determine the composition of the central panel.
