Actor Dino Morea Questioned by Mumbai Police in Mithi River Desilting Scam

Bollywood actor Dino Morea was questioned by the Mumbai Police Economic Offences Wing on Friday regarding the Rs 65.54-crore Mithi River desilting scam. Investigators questioned Morea to verify facts that emerged during the probe into alleged financial irregularities and inflated equipment rental rates. The Economic Offences Wing has previously arrested three people, including contractor Shersingh Rathod and Woder India LLP owner Ketan Kadam, for allegedly causing a Rs 65.54-crore loss to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Morea had earlier faced questioning last year over financial transactions with Ketan Kadam between 2019 and 2022. The ongoing investigation centers on corrupt practices, rigged tender specifications, and fraudulent bills submitted for unperformed desilting work.
