Adobe has launched a free version of Premiere Pro for Android, addressing a long-standing gap in video editing capabilities on the platform. The app is available on the Play Store for most Android devices and supports importing, trimming, splitting, adding effects, and exporting videos in up to 4K resolution. It includes audio extraction, noise reduction, voiceover tools, and optimizations for foldable phones and various screen layouts. Adobe notes that processing newly added tracks can take a minute, but export speeds are faster than expected on devices like the Pixel. The app requires at least 5GB of RAM and offers image-to-video and text-to-video features using models like Firefly, Veo, Omni, Luma Ray, and Kling, though full desktop features and Creative Cloud access are not included.
