AERA Cuts User Development Fee at Bengaluru’s KIA

The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India has announced revised User Development Fees for Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, reducing charges for departing domestic and international passengers. Under the new tariff order, the domestic departure fee drops from ₹550 to ₹300, while the international departure fee decreases from ₹1,500 to ₹997. A key change under this order is the introduction of UDF for arriving passengers, set at ₹125 for domestic arrivals and ₹426 for international arrivals. These rates take effect on September 1, 2026, and will remain in place until August 2029 for the fourth control period running from FY 2026-27 to FY 2030-31. The Bangalore International Airport Limited stated that the combined fees remain lower than previous charges despite ongoing expansion projects.
