Alex Gibney's feature documentary Musk is on track for a US theatrical release on October 9 via distributor Bleecker Street Media after debuting at the Venice International Film Festival. The film has a runtime of 3 hours and 45 minutes and features interviews with figures including ex-wife Justine Musk, tech journalists Kara Swisher and Zoe Schiffer, and former MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair. Because Musk declined to be interviewed, Gibney used an AI-generated stand-in to recite verbatim public quotes. Universal Pictures has confirmed plans for an international release in the first quarter of 2027, alongside a streaming debut on HBO.
