Amit Shah Highlights Uttar Pradesh's Growing Defence Manufacturing Capabilities

Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the production of BrahMos missiles and AK-203 rifles in Uttar Pradesh is strengthening India's defence capabilities. Speaking at the UP International Trade Show in Greater Noida, he noted that the state's defence industrial corridor is attracting significant investment across six nodes, including Lucknow and Amethi. The BrahMos facility in Lucknow, which began operations in 2025, handles the assembly and testing of supersonic cruise missiles. Shah also credited the government's trade policies for sustaining national growth and expanding export potential despite global economic challenges. He asserted that these indigenous manufacturing efforts are enhancing security against external threats.
