Amruthukulam Tribal Hostel to Reopen After Year-Long Closure

The tribal post-metric hostel at Amruthukulam in Kollam will resume operations within two weeks following the completion of repair and maintenance work. District Collector Anie Jula Thomas confirmed the timeline during a District Development Committee meeting. The facility had been closed for over a year, forcing students to relocate to a nearby SC category hostel. MLA Vishnu Mohan, who raised the issue, also demanded improvements to local transport infrastructure, including the establishment of a KSRTC bus stop at Kallumthazham.
