Indian squash players Anahat Singh and Tanvi Khanna advanced to the women's singles quarterfinals at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, setting up an all-Indian clash. Junior world champion Anahat defeated Singapore's Wai Iynn Au Yeong 3-0 in 19 minutes, while Tanvi overcame Singapore's Wai Yhann Au Yeong 3-1. In the men's singles, Abhay Singh defeated Sri Lanka's Ravindu Laksiri in straight games and will face Japan's Ryunosuke next. Veer Chotrani also advanced after a grueling five-game victory over Malaysia's Sanjay Jeeva, setting up a quarterfinal match against Pakistan's Irfan Muhammad. In mixed doubles, Joshna Chinappa and Velavan Senthilkumar defeated fellow Indians Suraj Chand and Shameena Riaz to reach the quarterfinals.
