· India · The Hindu, Hindustan Times
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has demanded that YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy explain recruitment irregularities in APPSC Group-I posts on the floor of the Legislative Assembly in Vijayawada. Participating in a discussion on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu accused the opposition leadership of responding with counter-attacks based on falsehoods rather than addressing the seriousness of the issue. The Chief Minister stated that the government had placed documentary evidence of the alleged bungling before the House and vowed to take stringent action against responsible officers. He alleged that the flawed examination conduct during the previous YSRCP tenure showed high-level corruption, including evaluations conducted in Hyderabad and Haailand near Mangalagiri. The High Court previously ordered a Special Investigation Team probe after a false affidavit was submitted in the case.
Why it matters
