Andhra Government Forms Panel to Probe Six-Year-Old's Death Following Teacher's Slap

The Andhra Pradesh education department has constituted a three-member committee to examine the cause of death of a six-year-old student who died after being allegedly beaten up by his teacher over homework in Visakhapatnam. The panel comprises the Visakhapatnam Regional Joint Director, District Education Officer, and Revenue Divisional Officer. HRD and IT Minister N Lokesh Naidu stated that legal action is being taken against those responsible and the school management. The boy's father, K Prasad, has reiterated demands to arrest the teacher immediately, alleging that school authorities provided false information to the hospital. Meanwhile, police have registered a case under sections dealing with death under suspicious circumstances and retrieved CCTV footage from the classroom.
