Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to accelerate the search for eight fishermen who have been missing since August 3. The crew departed from the Odalarevu Fish Landing Centre in the BR Ambedkar Konaseema district and failed to return by the expected date of August 12. Search operations are currently being conducted by the Indian Coast Guard in coordination with the state fisheries department and local district administration. Authorities have alerted patrol vessels in Kakinada, Bhairavapalem, Visakhapatnam, and Paradip to assist in the effort. The Chief Minister has mandated that officials maintain continuous communication with the families of the missing individuals and provide regular updates.
