Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation Threatens Agitation Over Unresolved Demands

The Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) has warned the state government of an upcoming agitation if their long-standing financial and service-related grievances remain unaddressed. State president G. Hrudaya Raju demanded the immediate constitution of the 12th Pay Revision Commission and the sanction of 30% interim relief for teachers, employees, and pensioners. The federation is also seeking the payment of pending Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears, Earned Leave encashment dues, and the resolution of service issues for Contract Pension Scheme (CPS) employees. Additionally, district leaders have called for the removal of non-teaching duties and the exemption of in-service teachers from the Teacher Eligibility Test. The government has not yet responded to these demands or the threat of protest.
