Apple Debuts M5 Ultra Chip and 2nm M6 Processor

Apple has introduced the M5 Ultra, a quad-die processor featuring an 80-core GPU designed for high-end Mac Studio machines to handle complex AI models and 8K video. The chip uses an interconnect speed of 4.4TB/s and supports up to 512GB of unified memory. Additionally, the company unveiled the M6, its first processor built on a 2-nanometer process technology, which is slated for use in upcoming Mac mini models. Apple plans to skip M6 Pro and M6 Max variants, moving directly to the M7 architecture by mid-2027.
