Apple Music Officially Unveils New Liquid-Inspired Brand Identity
· Technology · MacRumors, Ars Technica
Apple officially introduced a new brand identity for Apple Music on Wednesday in a YouTube video shared by the company. The visuals were created by playing sound through a container of water and placing brand elements behind the vibrating liquid. The rebrand adopts a black-and-white color scheme instead of red, pairing with the Liquid Glass interface from iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe. Apple partnered with British record producer Fred Again and NEST Acoustics on the project. The updated visuals will fully roll out next week with upcoming software releases including iOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2.
Why it matters
Apple Music subscribers and iOS users will experience a complete visual overhaul across devices. The redesign signals a broader aesthetic shift across Apple's software ecosystem.
