Apple to Announce New iMac and 14-Inch MacBook Pro With M6 Chip This Wednesday
· Technology · MacRumors, Engadget
Apple is holding a "Pro and tell" experience in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 25, 2026, to unveil updated iMac and 14-inch MacBook Pro models. Both new Macs will feature the M6 chip, which debuted in the refreshed Mac mini released in August 2026. The company has not announced any design changes, meaning the updates will consist of chip upgrades only, with no new industrial design. The event marks Apple's first major product announcement cycle since the August Mac mini launch.
Why it matters
Mac buyers will gain access to the M6 chip's performance improvements without needing to wait for a full redesign cycle, potentially extending the lifespan of existing Mac ecosystems.
