Apple Won't Pay Siri AI Settlement Claims Until Next Year

· Technology · MacRumors, Mashable, Hindustan Times

Apple agreed to pay $250 million in May to resolve a U.S. class action lawsuit over the delayed launch of Siri AI features. Under the preliminary terms approved last month, eligible iPhone users could receive payouts of up to $95. The judge presiding over the litigation scheduled the final approval hearing for February 24, 2027. Consequently, actual financial distributions to customers will not begin for several months following that hearing. The settlement website and official claims forms have not yet launched, and no action is currently required from consumers.

Why it matters

Millions of iPhone users eligible for compensation under the $250 million settlement must wait until at least mid-2027 to receive payouts.
