Arbeloa Dismisses Future Questions as Fulham Search for First Win
· Sports · BBC Sport
Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa insists his primary focus is on the club and supporters rather than his own job security ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Hull City at Craven Cottage. The club sits at the bottom of the table with two points after four defeats and two draws in their opening six league games of the campaign. Fulham were leading 1-0 against Ipswich Town last weekend before conceding two late goals, and were similarly denied victory by a last-gasp deflected goal against Manchester United. Arbeloa arrived at Fulham in the summer on a three-year contract to replace former boss Marco Silva following a short spell as Real Madrid's interim head coach. If he survives the fixture against Hull, Arbeloa's side will face Championship winners Coventry City in their next league fixture.
Why it matters
Fulham face intense pressure at the bottom of the Premier League standings as they search for their first win of the season under head coach Alvaro Arbeloa. The outcome of upcoming matches against Hull City and Coventry City will determine the immediate future of the coaching staff.
