Assam’s CWRC Celebrates 25 Years of Wildlife Rehabilitation

Assam’s Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) has marked its 25th anniversary of providing medical care to injured and orphaned animals. Located at Panbari near Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, the facility has treated over 10,000 animals since its inception in 2002. Approximately 68% of these rescued animals have been successfully released back into the wild. The centre is operated through a partnership between the Assam Forest Department, the Wildlife Trust of India, and the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
