At just a gram and eight millimetres, Srikakulam researcher’s wind turbine enters International Book of Records

Maheswaram Bhanu Chandhar, an assistant professor at Sri Sivani College of Engineering in Chilakapalem, has earned a place in the International Book of Records for building an eight-millimetre wind turbine. Weighing just one gram, the miniature device was constructed using copper sheets, a small DC motor, and enamel paint. The functional turbine spins silently and is recognised as an innovative engineering project. Mr. Bhanu Chandhar stated that the turbine holds potential applications for future space technology and robotics. The researcher, whose academic focus centres on smart grids and renewable energy, plans to continue green energy development and share his work with students.
