At least 12 people, including two women, two children, and two customs officials, were killed on September 26, 2026, when a suicide bomber targeted a police checkpost in northwest Pakistan. The attacker rammed an explosives-laden tractor-trolley into the Aman Mela checkpost in Darazinda tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district, near the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan border. An additional 18 people sustained injuries and were transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. Police and bomb disposal teams deployed to the site while security forces cordoned off the area for a search operation. Authorities linked the attack to the banned militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
