The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana has completed eight years of implementation since its launch by the central government. As of September 2021, the scheme has registered a total of 48.51 crore Ayushman cards issued to eligible beneficiaries across the country. Official data shows that the total financial value of medical treatments facilitated through the healthcare network has reached Rs. 2.03 lakh crore. The initiative continues to provide cashless secondary and tertiary care hospitalization to vulnerable families through empanelled public and private hospitals.
