Arvind Singh shot and killed his wife, two priests, and one of his children in Shambhupur village, Azamgarh, on Tuesday. The incident occurred after Singh returned home to find his wife, Babita, conducting a prayer service to address his alcoholism and alleged ghost possession. Singh reportedly demanded the priests show their Aadhaar cards before an argument escalated into the shooting. After killing the four victims, Singh locked himself in a room with his remaining children before being shot by police. An investigation into the motive and the exact circumstances of the triple murder is currently underway.
