Barcelona Denies Interest in Manchester United Teenager JJ Gabriel
· Sports · BBC Sport
Barcelona sporting director Deco stated that the club has no interest in pursuing 15-year-old Manchester United player JJ Gabriel. Gabriel travelled to Barcelona earlier this month after informing United of his desire to leave Old Trafford. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris St-Germain are reportedly monitoring the teenager. Gabriel has not trained with United since scoring a hat-trick on his UEFA Youth League debut on 10 September. Tournament regulations prevent him from representing another club in this season's competition until he qualifies for a European Union passport when he turns 16 on 6 October.
