The board has also introduced a four-tier gradation system dividing umpires into Grades A, B, C, and D, with the top two grades reserved for senior domestic tournaments. Currently, top BCCI domestic umpires receive Rs 40,000 per day, while other umpires earn Rs 30,000 per day and T20 officials receive Rs 20,000 per day. The announcement coincides with the BCCI's Annual General Meeting scheduled at its headquarters in Mumbai on Friday.
