Belagavi Police Implement Strict Security Measures for Ganeshotsava

Belagavi police have deployed extensive security personnel across the city in two phases for the 12-day Ganeshotsava celebrations starting September 13. The security deployment involves three DCPs, six ACPs, 23 PIs, 44 PSIs, 155 ASIs, 1,300 police personnel, 400 personnel from other zones, and 400 Home Guard personnel. Authorities have also positioned 10 KSRP platoons, 10 CAR platoons, and one Rapid Action Force unit to maintain law and order. A total of 1,260 CCTV cameras and specialized DVS/AVS cameras at 32 locations have been installed alongside 19 check-posts and round-the-clock personnel at public pandals. As a precautionary measure, 24 rowdy-sheeters and anti-social elements have been externed from the Belagavi district ahead of the idol immersion procession on September 25.
