Bengaluru Police Seize Rs 161 Crore Worth of Drugs in Recent Crackdowns

Bengaluru police arrested six people, including a foreign national and three individuals from outside Karnataka, after seizing 5.48 kg of MDMA worth Rs 10.96 crore across Girinagar, Hebbal, and Vidyaranyapura. Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh stated that authorities have recovered a total of 79.5 kg of MDMA and 1,000 ecstasy tablets valued at Rs 161 crore between April and September. Investigations revealed that synthetic drugs are frequently sourced from Delhi and the National Capital Region before being sold to college students and other customers. Meanwhile, conventional ganja consignments continue to arrive through interstate road and rail networks from the Northeast and other regions.
