Janani, a software engineer, died on the spot after falling from the 7th floor of a building in Bengaluru, while her friend Manichavelu survived with injuries from the same fall. Manichavelu's survival has been attributed to him landing on tree branches before hitting the ground, which broke part of the impact. The two had reportedly fallen together following a dispute.
