Bihar Cabinet Approves Rs 1 Lakh Reward for Content Creators on State Schemes

Social media creators producing content on Bihar government schemes can now earn up to Rs 1 lakh per video under newly approved amendments. The state Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday, cleared the Bihar Social Media and Other Online Media Rules, 2026, alongside 12 other proposals. Under the updated framework, creators will receive an additional payment of Rs 10,000 for every 1 lakh views generated after a video completes 30 days of performance. The Information and Public Relations Department stated that a detailed notification outlining all provisions and periodic verification procedures for followers will be issued soon. Additionally, the Cabinet approved an MoU with Taiyo AI India to develop an artificial intelligence ecosystem for public infrastructure monitoring and digital governance training.
