BJP Begins Uttar Pradesh Booth-Level Strategy After 2024 Setback

The BJP is shifting its focus to a hyperlocal booth-level strategy across Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. Around 18,900 booths that the party won in 2022 flipped against it in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Data analysis reveals that nearly 80 percent of these flipped booths are located in rural areas and satellite hamlets, while urban centres remained comparatively resilient. State in-charge Vinod Tawde is scheduled to review the booth-level findings and recovery plans during a series of meetings from September 16 to September 22. The party aims to identify which communities shifted away and rebuild its local organisation to win those votes back.
