Ramchander Rao stated that the refusal was a routine administrative decision based on protocol and concerns regarding the Chief Minister's planned meetings with individuals allegedly hostile to India. The BJP leaders argued that the Chief Minister failed to provide a proper itinerary and accused him of disrespecting the state by attempting to travel despite the lack of official approval. The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that the proposed visit did not conform to established regulations for official foreign travel. The Chief Minister has yet to publicly disclose the specific identities of the individuals he intended to meet during the trip.
