BJP Slams Telangana Government After State Chief Detained en Route to Nalgonda

Telangana State BJP president and former MLC N. Ramchander Rao was stopped by police at his Tarnaka residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday and taken to Gandhinagar police station while attempting to travel to Nalgonda district. He was heading to meet district party president N. Varshith Reddy, whose house was allegedly ransacked by Congress workers. The BJP accused the Congress-led state government of suppressing democratic rights, with national president Nitin Nabin, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and other senior leaders protesting the detention. Police also detained BJP Legislature Party leader A. Maheshwar Reddy and MLC C. Ramchander Rao, drawing a parallel to a recent similar incident in Ramanthapur, said the BJP would intensify its agitation against the Revanth Reddy government, questioning its nearly 1,000 days in office over delayed salaries and pensions, unfulfilled industrial investments, and controversial land auctions priced at ₹250 crore per acre.
