· India · Hindustan Times, Times of India, Moneycontrol
The Bharatiya Janata Party will organize a nationwide service campaign titled Seva Pakhwada from September 17 to October 2. The program marks Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in constitutional public office, starting from his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 to his premiership since 2014. The decision was finalized during a meeting of the party's new national team chaired by party president Nitin Nabin. The campaign will feature sanitation drives, blood donation camps, health camps, and intellectual conferences on good governance and Antyodaya. A seven-member team led by BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde, alongside leaders like Smriti Irani and Harsh Sanghavi, will coordinate the outreach.
Why it matters
The fortnight-long campaign serves as a major organizational mobilization effort to showcase the ruling party's governance welfare schemes and engage with Gen Z voters.
