BJP Wins Six Rajasthan Mayor Posts, Dominates Urban Body Elections

The BJP secured victories in six of Rajasthan's seven major municipal corporations, cementing its dominance in the state's urban bodies. In Pali, BJP candidate Namita Bubukia won the mayoral election with 33 votes, despite the Congress securing the most wards. The Congress finished third in Pali after most of its councillors backed a rebel candidate, Rajbala Hingad. The BJP also won mayor seats in Alwar, Udaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, and Bhilwara, with candidates elected unopposed in Bharatpur and Bhilwara. Aam Aadmi Party marked its first municipal council board win in Rajasthan, with Sheetal Rathore elected chairperson in Baran.
