BMW has launched the i5 M60 xDrive long-wheelbase electric sedan in India, priced at Rs 1.20 crore ex-showroom. The vehicle arrives as a fully imported completely built-up unit and undercuts the Lexus ES 500e by lakhs. Powering the sedan is a dual-motor setup generating 601 horsepower and 795 Nm of torque, enabling a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds. Its 81.2 kWh battery pack delivers a claimed driving range of up to 516 kilometres on a single charge. Bookings are open across the country, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin shortly.
