Bradley Barcola Scores Hat-Trick In Liverpool's 6-3 Win Over LASK
· Sports · Al Jazeera, BBC Sport
Liverpool forward Bradley Barcola scored his first hat-trick for the club in a 6-3 Champions League victory against LASK at the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz. Ronald Araujo opened the scoring for Liverpool with his first goal for the team, while Jeremie Frimpong and Lewis Koumas also contributed to the tally. The win maintains Liverpool's perfect record in the tournament following their previous victory over Atletico Madrid. Manager Andoni Iraola rotated his squad, resting captain Virgil van Dijk and several other key players to manage fatigue during a busy fixture schedule. The club continues to deal with injuries to Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo, and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Why it matters
The result provides a significant confidence boost for Barcola following criticism over his performance since his £123 million transfer. It also keeps Liverpool's momentum in the Champions League despite ongoing defensive concerns for manager Andoni Iraola.
