BSE Partners With MSCI To Launch India-Linked Derivatives

· Business · Economic Times, Business Standard, LiveMint

BSE has entered into an agreement with MSCI to explore the launch of futures and options contracts linked to MSCI indexes in India. The proposed products remain subject to regulatory approvals and cover a range of MSCI benchmarks. BSE aims to strengthen its position in the capital markets by providing investors with new tools to manage equity exposure and hedge portfolios. As of December 31, 2025, over $21 trillion in assets under management were benchmarked to MSCI indexes globally. The exchange is seeking to expand its derivatives offerings to meet the growing demand for index-based investment products.

Why it matters

This partnership provides institutional and retail investors with new instruments to hedge India market exposure and manage fund flows more efficiently. It strengthens BSE's competitive position against other exchanges by integrating globally tracked benchmarks into its derivatives suite.
