Bus Gang Rape Victim Tried To Escape In Noida, Says Delhi Police

Delhi Police revealed that a 17-year-old girl allegedly gang-raped inside a sleeper bus in Greater Noida attempted to escape while the vehicle was moving, but the conductor dragged her back inside. The incident occurred on August 4 after the victim boarded the bus in Greater Noida during heavy rain while trying to reach her uncle's house in Noida. Investigators wrote to the Forensic Science Laboratory seeking expedited DNA examination of biological samples, including hair strands, collected from the vehicle. The National Human Rights Commission issued notices to the police commissioners of Delhi and Gautam Buddha Nagar, demanding a report within two weeks. Both the bus driver and conductor were arrested within four hours of the report and underwent medical examinations.
