Canadian vlogger Caleb Friesen posted a video on Friday highlighting the hazardous condition of a footpath on 12th Main Road in Bengaluru's Indiranagar, which garnered over 2.1 million views. The damaged surface featured rubble, large holes, unstable slabs, and trees acting as dustbins, prompting online criticism. Within a day, the Lokayukta took up the case suo motu and directed its police officers to visit the site. Officials reported that construction debris had been lying there for three days, and directed the chief engineer of Bengaluru Central City Corporation and other engineers to initiate repairs on Saturday.
