CBDT Extends ITR Deadline for Taxpayers With Audited Accounts to 21 November

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for filing income-tax returns for assessment year 2026-27 for taxpayers with audited accounts to 21 November from 31 October. The deadline for submitting audit reports has been extended to 21 October from 30 September. The extension applies to businesses and professionals required to audit their accounts before filing returns. The finance ministry announced the changes on Monday to provide relief amid complex audit processes.
