· India · The Hindu, Indian Express, Deccan Herald
The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct Class 12 board examinations in seven West Asian countries from October 23 to October 28, 2026. The tests are intended for candidates who were dissatisfied with their marks under a special assessment scheme formulated after exams were cancelled due to regional conflict. The affected nations comprise Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, where evaluations for 40 subjects had been suspended. Examination controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that admit cards were released on October 12, with one examination center established in each participating country. The tests begin with Political Science, Economics, and Mathematics on October 23 and conclude with English on October 28.
Why it matters
The special board exams provide students in conflict-affected West Asian countries an opportunity to improve their scores and secure university admissions without academic delay.
