Centre Moves SC to Quash FIRs Against NEET Protesters

The Central government has filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking to quash FIRs registered against NEET protesters, including those led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and other states. The FIRs were filed over allegations of violence during protests against the NEET paper leak. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta requested the court to invoke Article 142 of the Constitution to quash the FIRs. The Supreme Court will hear the case on Tuesday. Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and spokesperson Saurav Das reacted to the development on social media, with Dipke posting a photo holding a book by Dr BR Ambedkar and Das sharing a cheeky selfie.
