A Hindu temple over 100 years old was demolished in Siraj village, located in Pakistan's Punjab province, on August 21. Local minority groups and political leaders allege that the structure was destroyed to expand an adjacent madrassa, with accusations directed at members of the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan. Government officials have countered these claims by stating the building collapsed due to heavy rainfall. Community leaders have since petitioned the provincial government to investigate the incident and restore the site. The temple reportedly occupied 1,000 square metres of land.
