Chhattisgarh Agri University Exam Cancelled Over Question Paper Leak
· India · Indian Express, News18, Times of India
An examination at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in Raipur was cancelled on Thursday after a question paper matching nearly 70% of the actual paper was found circulating on WhatsApp. Around 500 B Sc Agriculture second-year students had taken the second-semester entomology exam across 34 affiliated colleges when the leak allegation surfaced. The university has not confirmed whether the paper was actually leaked and has filed a complaint with Telibandha Police to investigate. Both NSUI and ABVP activists protested demanding cancellation and a thorough probe. A five-member university committee decided to cancel the exam in the evening and referred the matter for police investigation into possible internal leakage. The Congress party in Chhattisgarh has targeted the ruling government over the incident, though the article is cut off mid-quote.
Why it matters
The cancellation disrupts academic schedules for around 500 students across 34 colleges and deepens concerns over the integrity and security of exam processes at state-run universities in Chhattisgarh.
