Chikkamagaluru police arrested 23-year-old Roshan on Monday for allegedly circulating a video on social media that paired a Tippu Sultan cutout with a song referencing Pakistan. Authorities registered a case suo motu after identifying the content, which was posted ahead of the Id Milad procession scheduled for Wednesday in Tippu Nagar. Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Dayama confirmed that officials have identified other individuals involved in creating and sharing the video. The police have also conducted peace meetings to ensure the upcoming religious procession remains orderly and free of communal tension.
