The Railway Board ordered the cancellations for trains arriving between 4 am and 2 pm, citing intelligence reports of severe congestion ahead of a protest by the Cockroach Janta Party at Jantar Mantar. The CJP is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral rolls. Delhi Police has denied permission for the gathering, citing short notice. Paswan, an NDA member, also expressed satisfaction with the ECI's clarifications regarding the election process.
