Veteran producer BP Singh passed away on October 27, 2026, due to a massive heart attack at age 60. Shivaji Satam, who played ACP Pradyuman in CID, recalled Singh as his close friend and mentor, crediting him with teaching the art of on-camera performance. Satam revealed Singh returned to sets within three months of cardiac surgery and once filmed a 111-minute episode in a single take post-surgery. The actor also stated Singh deserved the Padma Shri but never sought such honours, believing audience connection mattered more.
